PAMC continuously measures and manages members clinical outcomes
Our ultimate goal is to improve the health outcomes of patients through individually contracted general practitioner networks.
We help our medical scheme clients to manage and reduce costs through greater efficiencies, while keeping the quality of healthcare high. We do this by working with and coordinating a network of GPs – as the essential primary healthcare co-ordinators – to ensure the appropriate utilisation of medical scheme benefits.
Pan African Managed Care empowers healthcare service providers with the necessary tools to fulfil their role in enhancing clinical interventions within the existing healthcare system. PAMC has developed extensive clinical protocols and baskets of care based on the Chronic Disease List (CDL). These protocols contain guidelines on the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of these conditions.
PAMC continuously measures and manages members clinical outcomes in conjunction with our contracted primary healthcare network, consisting of over 3800 contracted service providers with an extensive national geographical footprint.
Our Ultimate Goal
Is to improve the health outcomes of patients through individually contracted general practitioner networks.
We are committed to driving value-based managed care solutions that benefit medical schemes and their members, working closely with a network of contracted primary healthcare providers to promote and expand access to clinically efficient and effective healthcare services, with measurable outcomes.
Our Solutions

Primary healthcare and CDL management
PAMC utilises clinical protocols to manage its primary healthcare network.

Claims and Authorisations adjudication
PAMC ensures that all processed claims and authorisations are measured against established protocols.

Risk management
We use our clinical and administrative systems and processes to evaluate claims against embedded protocols. BIS is used for data mining to determine anomalies for provider profiling in order to manage risk.

Benefit design support
BIS is used for data mining to assist in advising clients on benefit design.

Provider Network
PAMC ensures that members receive the best possible
access to primary healthcare through our baskets of care applied by its 3840 contracted general practitioners.
